At the beginning of 2024, Gravity Garden worked with a small production crew to create a custom dj booth for a private party in Asheville, NC. This is a noteworthy piece in its sculptural and multimedia nature. Locally harvested Hennon bamboo and traditional rope lashing techniques were utilized in creating this winged sculpture that the artist would step into from the rear when performing. Hand thrown ceramic forms were attached to a prism shape as the center piece for the stage. Addressable leds were strung through the hollowed bamboo on the wings as well as in the center piece of the stage and connected to a pixel driver which created a dynamic light show controllable by the vj at the event. The Lucidium stage was then transported and reassembled at a separate venue as a semi-permanent installation.
